We’ve been looking forward to bringing you this amazing range of biscuits and crackers from Hassetts Bakery. Based in Carrigaline, Country Cork, they’ve been baking by hand since 1984, and every one of their products is absolutely excellent. These orange and poppyseed cookies are so moreish they’re almost addictive.
What we particularly love about these biscuits is their very grown-up character. They’re not overly sweet, which gives the subtle orange and poppy flavours space to do their thing without being overwhelmed by sugar. The texture is crunchy without being brittle, with enough butter to ensure everything holds together so you don’t get covered in crumbs. These are delightfully balanced cookies altogether.
