Irish whiskey doesn't have quite the global status of Scotch – or, increasingly, Japanese whisky – but at Dalriata, we're trying to do our bit to change that.
After all, the oldest whiskey distillery in the world is to be found in Bushmills, right in the heart of the ancient kingdom of Dál Riata!
Needless to say, Bushmills is represented in our selection, in the form of their excellent 10 Year Single Malt. It's a mainstay of our range, with a superbly balanced flavour that reflects more than four hundred years of expertise.
Also from this neck of the woods is the Sexton Single Malt, a new name on the Irish whiskey scene. It's matured in sherry casks, giving it a complex, intense finish.
What you won't find on our shelves is Jameson's whiskey. Not that we've got anything against it – other than our regional predisposition towards Bushmills, of course. It's simply a choice we made because Jameson is already so well-known around the world. We don't think they really need our help, they're doing just fine by themselves. We prefer to shine the spotlight on some other brands customers might not be so familiar with.
