Germany produces without a doubt some of the finest bread in the world. The quality and variety available puts other countries to shame. But what you don't find is traditional Irish soda bread - or wheaten bread as we call it in the North. We at Dalriata thought it was time to bring this unique flavour to Germany.
Our stoneground wheaten bread comes from McCambridge's of Dublin, who have been making wholemeal soda loaves with this recipe for 75 years.
Wheaten bread is, of course, a perfect accompaniment to a fry-up. But it's versatile too – it's fantastic for dipping in your favourite soup, or as an open sandwich topped with Atlantic salmon.
