Description
Following on from the success of their Peanut Rāyu and Black Bean Rāyu, Dublin-based White Mausu’s latest Asian-influenced taste experience is this delicious Cashew Crunch. This time the emphasis is on sweet and salty tastes, rather than spiciness, but it’s made with the same meticulous devotion to maximum flavour.
One of our goals at Dalriata, is to support small, independent manufacturers by making their products available alongside the usual household names. Way back at the beginning, when we were just a pop-up store in an ice cream shop shut for winter, White Mausu’s products were some of the first things we sold after Clonakilty’s sausages and bacon. They went down very well with our customers, but it was hard for us to secure enough supply to meet demand. Now we’ve overcome this little logistical issue, and White Mausu is back on the shelves in our Berlin store, as well as right here on our website.
What is White Mausu Cashew Crunch?
Once again, the beautifully designed packaging lets you know that you’re in for a treat. Just like the others, the label has a fresh, modern, elegant look which hints at the skilfully crafted product within. This time, just like the product itself, it’s a little lighter and fresher.
Cashew Crunch is all about the balanced contrast between sweet and savoury. Maple syrup brings a subtle, sophisticated sweetness to the sauce, while miso provides that umami moreishness. All this makes a perfect base for the cashews to do their thing. There’s just a little garlic in there to give the flavour a lift, but no hotness or spiciness.
What can I do with White Mausu Cashew Crunch?
You can use Cashew Crunch in much the same way as the other White Mausu products. It will liven up salads, stir-fried vegetables, rice or noodles, or use it as a dip for bread, crackers or crudités. But as always, it’s hard to resist eating it straight off the spoon!
