Read on for information on how your order will be shipped to you.
How do you ship my order?
After months of testing, we have chosen paperfloc packaging from easy2cool to ship our frozen foods to all parts of Germany. This innovative product is strong, effective, and 100% recyclable.
Every order of frozen foods comes with cool packs containing a special gel which ensures your order stays cold for a long time. These can be disposed of in your household waste, or reused to keep your own food and drinks cold, for example if you go for a picnic.
Who will deliver my order?
Our delivery partner is DPD. They offer a service that’s designed specially for food products like ours. Their nationwide delivery network is second to none, and will ensure that your order arrives fast and in good condition.
Do you offer order tracking?
DPD’s order tracking service is automatically included with every order. Once we hand over your parcel for delivery, we will send you a message letting you know. From then on, DPD will keep you informed. You will be able to follow your parcel every step of the way from our facilities in Berlin to your doorstep – you will even get an estimated time of delivery so you can plan your day around it.
If you can’t be there to receive the parcel in person, DPD allow you to specify a safe place for them to leave the parcel. Just remember to pick it up as soon as possible so you get your food in perfect condition!
How long will my order be safe while in transit?
Our packing ensures your food will stay cold for up to three days. Many customers tell us that their purchases are still frozen when they receive them.
Is it safe to refreeze my order?
Yes, you can put your food in the freezer without problems.
How long will my food keep once defrosted?
This depends on what you’ve ordered. We recommend that you eat sausages within 5 days of receiving them. Bacon will keep for 2-4 weeks in the fridge. Black, white and veggie puddings will last at least 30 days, up to a maximum of two months. Our pies are best cooked from frozen, but will last 3-5 days in the fridge.
If you have any questions, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
Why hasn’t my order been dispatched yet?
Generally, as long as everything is in stock, orders will arrive within 2-3 business days. However, the most important thing is that your order gets to you in perfect condition. So for example, if you place an order on Friday, we won’t send it until the following Monday. This is to make sure it doesn’t spend too long in transit. We hope you understand if it takes a few days extra for us to dispatch your order.
A gel pack burst inside my order, what do I do?
Our gel packs are completely harmless and non-toxic. Your food will be perfectly fine to eat as long as it’s still at a cold temperature.
