Savoury Pies

We’ll never understand why savoury pies aren’t known and beloved all over the world. It’s such a simple concept – pastry filled with something delicious. Yet somehow only a few countries in the world have figured out the joy that is a freshly-baked meat or vegetable pie.

In New Zealand, they’re practically part of the national identity. Australians swear by a pie floater. And in the UK they’ve evolved into an art form. But here in Germany they’re simply not part of the national cuisine.

We think it’s time to change that!

At Dalriata, we really love a good pie, and it was important to us that if we’re going to sell them, they’re going to be the best meat and vegetable pies we can get our hands on. We think we’ve succeeded, and we would love you to try them and let us if you agree.

We’re now offering three varieties of pie: steak and ale; chicken, leek and mushroom; and butternut squash, feta and kale. Each one is handmade right here in Berlin, by This Works Within. We’re very proud to say we’re the first store to offer these excellent pies. Every pie contains the finest organic ingredients and a healthy dose of love.
